FurReal Biscuit My Lovin Pup is a Child's Best Friend

I admit that I'm an animal lover. To be honest, I can't imagine not having a dog or another type of pet. Yet for some families, that's just not possible. No matter which of the two sides your family falls on, Hasbro's Fur Real Friends Biscuit My Lovin Pup has become the hot toy idea for this year.

This adorable toy dog is the newest addition to the Fur Real Friends line of toys. It is fully interactive and is ready to entertain your child for hours straight out of the box. Biscuit comes with a collar, tag, brush, dog bone and adoption certificate. He comes programmed with behaviors such as nods, whimpers, barks and tail wagging - all of which are very realistic.

And just like a real dog, Biscuit is able to recognize your child's voice and execute six commands that include speak, sit and lie down. He also knows how to shake hands when asked, which I think is the cutest trick that he knows. And when he sits up and begs, it is sure to melt even the coldest of hearts.

A Few Considerations

While Fur Real Friends Biscuit is an adorable toy that most children would love to have, here are a couple things you should know. Biscuit is nearly two feet high. While most kids will enjoy the fact that is he a large size, this toy will be difficult for smaller children to carry around. This doesn't mean a small child won't fully enjoy this interactive pet, but this is certainly something to think about. Also, when you give this toy to your child, be sure that you have 6 D-sized batteries on hand since they are not included in the package.

How Biscuit Works

You may be wondering how Biscuit knows to interact with your child. It's all in his nine sensors. For example, if Biscuits left paw is touched, he will raise his paw to shake hands with you. If given the command "speak," he will bark in response. He will even responsd by flinching or blinking if something is waved in front of him due to a sensor in his forehead.

Biscuit My Lovin' Pup is also able to switch to different interactive modes based on how much attention he is getting. After a short while of not being interacted with, Biscuit enters "hangout" mode where he will do some cute behaviors to try to grab your attention. If he doesn't receive some attention for a determined amount of time, he will next lay down and go to sleep.

With his many sensors and behaviors, it is not difficult to see why this sophisticated, interactive dog is considered to be one of the most innovative toys of the year. With both sounds and movements that are true-to-life, FurReal Friends Biscuit My Lovin Pup is sure to become your child's new best friend.
